About Our Breeding Program
Here at Libelle our dogs are our family. As such, we spend much time planning our breedings. Lots of time, effort, education and research go into our decisions. We extensively analyze pedigrees, health clearances, achievements and temperaments in both our own dogs as well as dogs we may include in our breeding program. We work closely with many fellow dog fanciers to make sure that any dogs we produce will showcase the true nature of their respective breed. Our puppies are raised in the main areas of our home, with regular family sounds & activities around them. We start socializing them as soon as possible with as many safe yet unique people, places and animals that we can.
We also practice Early Neurological Stimulation between 3-16 days old with each puppy, and Volhard Puppy Aptitude Testing to make sure we pair up new puppy families with the dog that is right for them!
All of our dogs are tested for genetic diseases before being considered for breeding and all results are certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals and the Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF). Copies of the sire & dam's health certifications are provided to all new puppy families.
We are always here at any time to provide assistance to puppy people both new & old, and for the lifetime of a Libelle puppy we like to keep in touch and see how they grow and progress.
We do not sell 'guard dogs' nor do we sell dogs to any third parties such as pet stores. All potential puppy families must participate in our screening process to be considered.
